The following is a check list of birds identified in Explorama's reserves which was originally prepared by Ted Parker III, in 1976. Since then visiting birders, investigators and Explorama Guides such as Lucio Pano have continued to enlarge and revise this living document. The widespread interest in the birds of the Peruvian Amazon rainforest now combined with the ability to access the canopy via the Canopy Walkway has expanded the original list from 199 to over 500 species of birds, We look forward to your additions!!
